Dr. Malcoun specializes in evidence-based treatment for anxiety disorders in adults and adolescents. Evidence-based means that the treatments have been tested in multiple research studies and shown to be effective for most people. Dr. Malcoun uses a style of treatment called cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for OCD and PTSD. She draws on a range of modalities including CBT, supportive counseling, and mindfulness-based approaches, tailored to the needs of the individual, for treating other psychological issues.
